The Practical Farming Camp History and Organization

Cultivating beyond crop management...

The Practical Farming Camp was originally conceptualized to provide a practical agricultural and farming learning tool detatched from very technical modules. Training courses are farmer-based and featured an effective mixture of rural wisdom and the latest agricultural technologies - in other words, it is a very practical and experiential approach to farm training.

The Camp is a 3-hectare fertile farm site planted with rice and vegetables, and serves as the immediate training area for participants. However, the Camp boundary is not limited to this area since it actually involves the whole 300-hectare farming community of Barangay Sumandig in San Ildefoso, Bulacan - making it one of the largest training ground for farming.

To date, the services that Practical Farming Camp offer evolved to include field trials and pre-commercialization projects for agro-chemicals, seeds and fertilizers.

The Practical Farming Camp's officers are composed of the following:
Dr. Pedro Ramos - General Manager and Technical Protocol Officer
Mr. Alexey Rola Cajilig - Sales and Marketing Manager
Mr. Felipe Ramos - Camp Director and Training Manager
